Integrity - Dedication- Service
“I don't know what your destiny will be, but one thing I know: the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve.” ― Albert Schweitzer
Those who know me well are aware that I am at my happiest when I'm busy being of service.
I have been a resident of Whitehorse for over 38 years with strong ties to this great city. My wife, Anna and I have raised our family here.
Our daughter Jenny, and son Elliot, are living in Whitehorse with their respective spouses.
I am currently employed as the Regulations Officer with Government of Yukon and have had a lifetime of experience working within the constraints of government bureaucracy while still creating ways to affect change and improvements in methodology. I was instrumental in making the statutes and regulations of Yukon available to the citizens of Yukon via a new website that is kept current.
I am currently a director of Nakai Theatre and am a past director with the Guild Society
I am known as a photographer and write a bi-weekly column on photography. I also free-lance articles and features to newspapers in Whitehorse.
As your next Councillor I will stand strong on the concept of Triple Bottom Line
Accounting; taking into account the social, financial and environmental impacts
that decisions have on our community.
Wetlands and park areas need to be protected and
I will be there for you to
ensure that simple economic decisions do not over-ride the importance of these
areas.
My pledge is that I will work tirelessly for you toward regaining
trust with City Council and making change to allow for the creation of
affordable ways to build homes.
"I look forward to working together with you to have Whitehorse continue to be
one of the best places in Canada to live and raise our families."
